Michelle Manu has devoted her life to developing a personal fitness regimen, as well as investing in strength-building and longevity. From nutrition to movement, Michelle has committed to focusing on the whole person/woman and has become an inspiration to women around the globe.

While most athletes retire early, Manu has continuously evolved her athletic career across multiple disciplines. Her ability to sustain high performance for decades sets her apart from many other athletes, including her peers.

A dynamic action shot captures Dr. Michelle Manu (left) and another person engaged in a martial arts sparring session, likely Arnis or Kali, using wooden sticks. Dr. Manu, a woman with her hair tied back, is in a low, wide stance, wearing a dark martial arts uniform with a red belt, intensely focused as she uses a long, patterned wooden staff to block or control her opponent's two shorter sticks. Her opponent, whose face is not visible, is also in a dark uniform and barefoot. Several other individuals in similar uniforms, holding sticks, are visible in the blurred background, suggesting a training environment like a gym with a wooden floor and a basketball hoop.

Manu boasts a uniquely diverse background in various sports. In her youth, she participated in competitive gymnastics and dance, demonstrating flexibility, precision, and foundational movement intelligence.

Masters Hall of Fame inductee and elite-Level combat and biomechanics expert, Kumu Manu is a 10th degree black belt. Her expertise goes well beyond traditional sports, into warrior training and applied science.

In the early 2000’s, Michelle continued to expand her skills by becoming one of very few women in semi-professional American football, displaying strength, resilience, and adaptability in a male-dominated sport. During this time, she gained ground in speed, agility, and strategy with an emphasis on developing a strong team player mindset.
